OUR MISSION
IUA is one of the 15 chapters in the New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA). The IUA is an approved Baseball Umpire and Softball Umpire Association. We service high school, American Legion, adult and youth leagues in South Jersey.
Our mission as NJSIAA Approved Baseball and Softball Umpires is to enforce safety and fair play for everyone. We service South Jersey in all levels of play. We follow the National Federation High School (NFHS) and National Major League rules throughout the spring and fall seasons. Our customers consist of, and are not excluded to, scholastic (Varsity, Jr. Varsity, Middle School) Senior and Junior Prep. Legion; along with adult leagues in South Jersey and other youth programs throughout the state of New Jersey.
As an organization we dedicate our members to work as professionals with education and training programs throughout the year. We hold a new-class training program every year which consists of highly educated umpires acting as instructors. We hold clinics for our members, conducted by our rules committee to continuously educate our members.
IUA is a growing association that consists of more than 80 members and there is a place for anyone that would like to join.
